Summer Camps

The following weeklong summer camp is targeted at middle schoolers

151 - Middle School Robotics Introduction

This class is targeted at middle school students who have an interest in robotics, enginnering, or science. It has no prerequisites but does include introductory robotics and software programming tuition, and is intended to be fun and enjoyable.

It is a weeklong class that meets from 9:30 am to 5 pm from Monday though Friday.

Using a robot, built by students from a kit with provided, detailed instructions, students tackle a variety of interesting, introductory problems including the control of motors and intepreting input from mechanical and optical sensors.

While the kit that students use includes many Lego Technic parts, the robot's controlling computer and its sensors are more capable than the ones used in Lego and FLL kits and are based on components used in real world systems.
