Evening Classes

The following evening class is targeted at high schoolers

201 - Robot Based Mechatronic Engineering

This class is targeted at high school students who are considering a career in an enginnering or science discipline. It has no prerequisites.

It is an evening class that meets once a week, on Monday evenings, for eight weeks.

Using a robot, built by the student from a kit, students tackle mechanical, electrical, and software engineering tasks while using some basic science based techniques to understand the problem that they are trying to solve and to troubleshoot solutions that do not adequately solve the problem.

While students use a robot, this is not a robotics class. Rather, it is a science/engineering class that uses a robot to create problems that have a real educational value.
